When you create an account, we collect your email address. Passwords are never stored directly. Authentication uses industry-standard secure hashing. When you use the app, we may collect:

  • Location data (for route planning, navigation, and weather)
  • Motorcycle information you add to your garage
  • Emergency contact details you provide
  • Ride recordings and route data
  • Waitlist information (name and email if you join the Break-In Crew)
  • Beta feedback submissions (Break-In Crew members only)
  • Weekly survey responses (Break-In Crew members only)
  • Usage analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the Time to Moto service
  • Send weather and safety alerts during rides
  • Notify your emergency contacts if you enable safety features
  • Provide AI-powered assistance via Scout
  • Analyze usage to improve the app

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app:

  • Mapping and navigation services
  • AI and machine learning services
  • Weather and radar services
  • Road conditions and overlay services
  • Federal safety database services
  • Safety alert delivery services (SMS and email)
  • Analytics services

Live ride sharing links are only active when you choose to share them.

4. SMS and Text Message Alerts

Time to Moto sends text messages to the emergency contacts you designate in the app, and to recipients you select when sharing a ride in progress.

Message frequency varies and depends on your use of the app. Messages are sent only when crash detection activates during a ride and you do not cancel the countdown, or when you choose to share a ride in progress. We do not send recurring, scheduled, marketing, or promotional text messages.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the alert on our behalf, and only for that delivery.

Message and data rates may apply.

Recipients can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or reply HELP for help. You can remove an emergency contact at any time in the app.

5. Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and access controls. We regularly review our security approach to keep your information safe.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data through the app or web account portal
  • Update or correct your information at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your ride data

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the web account portal at timetomoto.com/account/delete. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
